Somehow when I went to grab the special little red package out of my mailbox today, I found not one, but Two boxes! How that happened, I'm not sure, but hey... I'm not gonna question it!
Oh Birchbox.... The subscription that started my monthly box obsession. Its still one of my favorites! For $10 a month you get a box with (mostly) generously sized samples. At that price, you can't go wrong!
This month Birchbox teamed up with US Weekly to bring us 'Step and Repeat'. Its all about being red carpet ready... because who doesn't want to look as glamorous as a movie star during awards season? I know I do!!
(I'm going to lump the products from both of my boxes together for this review)
Harney & Sons Fine Tea--- OK. I'm starting this with the one item from both my boxes that I can't stand. Do I like tea? Yes. Do I drink tea? Occasionally. Do I want tea in EVERY OTHER BOX!? NO!!!!!! Nothing against this tea. I am sure they are perfectly lovely, but I swear to god I have a giant basket full of tea samples from Birchbox alone. Enough is Enough! Ahhh.!do
Juicy Couture - Couture LA LA Malibu --- I love Juicy Coutoure . Viva LA Juicy has been my favorite perfume forever, so I'm always happy to try a new scent from them.. Although I hate the tiny sample size, I do like the scent.... I may have to put this one on my 'save up the Birchbox points' list....
Bein de Terre - Color Preserving Shampoo & Conditioner --- I think this is the biggest size of shampoo/conditioner I have ever gotten in my box. I did have some leakage from the shampoo during transit and I am a little miffed that this counted as two items but oh well. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, so I know shampoo, but this one was just kinda 'ehh' to me. It smells nice, and it lathers well, but shampoo/conditioner wise... I'm a Joico girl... all others pale in comparison.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More --- I love this brand! I got the microdermabrasion cream in my October box and freaking LOVED it so I am super excited to see another one of their products! This stuff was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! It's super light and not at all greasy and the slight tint to it evens out all my problem areas for a very airbrushed looking finish.
Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight --- I was a bit worried I would hate this but I actually really liked it. I'm so pale that it is a perfect subtle bronzer for me. Very smooth and blends nicely!
Previse Hydro milk --- Although this is one of the most amazing lavender scents I have ever smelled, I'm kinda on the fence about this products performance. It was just OK to me. I certainly will not be spending $60 for the full size cause as moisturizers go, I've had better at a much cheaper price.
StriVectin AR Advanced Retinol Eye Treatment --- I hear a lot of people talking about this brand and I'm very eager to try it. Obviously I can't say if it works or not since I just got it but I'm hopeful it will do all it says it will.
Serge Normant Dry Conditioner --- Firstly, Holy Birchbox That's a big sample! Kudos guys! Me likey! As for the actual product, I've never even heard of a dry conditioner (and I'm a freaking hairstylist!) It smells really amazing and softened up the dry brittle ends of my day old hair. This will most definitely get plenty of use and it's perfect size for my purse!
All in all, this is probably one of the best Birchbox I've had in quite some time. There were a couple of products I just thought were ok, but the majority of them I really really loved and will use faithfully. Keep it up Birchbox! I'm impressed!!
If you would like to join Birchbox, I'd love you forever if you used my referral link posted to the side --->
