May 2014 IPSY Glam Bag Review

Blue sky, birds singing and my May Ipsy Glam Bag waiting in my mailbox today. Could this day get much better?  I think not!

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service and one of my most eagerly awaited packages. For $10.00 a month you will receive 4-5 deluxe sample sized beauty products all packed up in a limited edition makeup bag.  I have never been disappointed with what I have received and the value is always way more than what you pay each month. There is a pretty lengthy waitlist though so if you want to get your perfectly polished mitts on a Glam Bag for yourself I suggest you sign up asap!!

Yay!  I love the makeup bag this month! It's so different than any previous bag I have gotten.  It's a beautiful canvas material that looks very green and Eco-Chic which is fitting since the theme for this month is 'Fresh Picks '.

First look! Let me pause here for a moment and say that I was fully expecting this to be heavy on the skincare items this month. Summer is upon us and our skin needs some love for this season so I'm happy about this!

Hey Honey! Exfoliating Peel off Mask ---- this is my favorite kind of facial mask and I'm so happy to get it! I remember taking my grandmother's avon peel off Masks as a kid and putting them on just cause it was so much fun to take off. Now that I'm older I use them purely for their benefits (not.). I really like this one it's smells nice, spreads easily, easy to remove,  and leaves my skin soft.  I just might have to buy the full size once my sample runs out.

Pur~lisse pur~moist hydra balance moisturizer ---- I like the smell of this and it's not to oily but I am going to have to put it aside for now. My skin has gone from dry to major oily in the last few weeks so moisturizing is so not an issue for me at the moment.

Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF50 ---- it's sunny and I am incredibly pale so I will ALWAYS happily take more sunscreen. This is perfect purse size too. I never have spf when I need it and I absolutely fry in about 10 minutes without it.

Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo #1 ---- This brand is making the rounds in several various boxes lately and normally I love it. However, pigmentation is a bit of an issue for me with these colors. Even though they are light shades I still don't want to have to apply numerous swipes just to see a hint of color. It will make a nice highlight shadow though

.
Derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub ---- This is my favorite item this month! It's a great size sample and I adore these microdermabrasion creams. This one is just the right amount of grit and doesn't irritate my skin at all. I may even like this one better than my Dr. Brandt scrub and ya'll know how much I loooove that one!

While this wasn't my favorite Ipsy bag ever, I am still going to happily enjoy all the items! I feel like maybe it is time to retake my beauty profile survey to get a better variety next month though. I still give them an 8/10 this time around because lord knows my skin needs some help these days.

I love Ipsy so very much and I know you will to! If your interested in subscribing then I would love you forever if you used my referral link here!
