As much as I adore beauty and fashion, there is another love of mine that trumps them both...music. my musical taste is vast and eclectic, ranging from Broadway to heavy metal. And there's nothing I love more than stumbling upon new songs and artists.
The Music Box, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a $10 per month subscription service that helps you discover new and emerging artists. Each month, You'll receive a box tailored to your own musical tastes containing CD's and a few fun little extras.
First look! Let's start with the music, shall we?
The Sons 'The Prime Words Committee' --- I can't pinpoint exactly what genre this belongs in. It's a mishmash of just about all of them. At times it sounds like folk music but then it will sound more like alternative rock 5 seconds later. It's all over the place and I just couldn't get into it.
If Not For Dreaming 'Awake and Asleep' --- much more my style! They a very distinct sound that reminds me of a group from the early 90's, Mazzy Star.
Noted 'Silent' --- Definitely my favorite from this box. All their songs were pretty amazing. Think Paramore, Flyleaf, ect. Will definitely be tracking this band!
An assortment of cards for other bands were also included and many of them have a code for free downloads so that's great!
The two fun little extras included this someeCard and a tiny little poppy flower kit. Odd and random items but I got a kick out of them.
I can't say enough how much I love the concept of The Music Box subscription. It's affordable and let's you explore the music world, finding new artists and sounds to treasure!
