December 2014 Birchbox Review

I seriously dislike December at the moment. Every single thing I've ordered is taking an agonizingly long time to get here because of the holidays. Thankfully,  my December Birchbox arrived on schedule though!

If you aren't familiar,  Birchbox is a beauty subscription service.  The cost is $10 per month and includes 5-6 deluxe sample sized and occasionally full sized products.  It was my very first box and the one that started my obsession.

Each month brings a new theme and this month it's 'Decked Out'. With the holidays going on, it's important to have some essential items to 'deck' yourself out and this month's products aim to give you all you need to do just that.

I'll say this... I'm not blown away by the first look this month and that's extremely rare for my Birchbox. ..

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre --- this french moisturizer is billed as a must have among makeup artists to heal dry skin and prime for foundation. It's a great product, in my opinion. But I'm burned out on moisturizer in my Birchbox. ..Seriously.. I'm overly moisturized at this point....

Lord & Berry Glitter Eye Pencil --- I'll say the same thing here I said a few months ago when I received this in my Ipsy bag.... Its a fabulous product and I adore it but good grief it's so tiny!

Manna Kadar Lip Locked --- What is up with the microscopic cosmetics!? It's a solid product despite the sample size.  It works as a primer, stain and gloss all at once and I really like it!

Number 4 Hydrating Shampoo --- I may be wrong but I would swear  I've gotten this Shampoo several times before. I know alot of people like it but I'm crazy picky about my shampoo and this one does absolutely nothing for me.

Rusk Texture Spray --- This is the only item I truly got excited about.  I'm a licensed cosmetologist and their entire line has always been my brand of choice. This one is no exception.  It gives a very light hold while also  adding some volume and bounce.

So this month was underwhelming for me and if you've been reading my blog for awhile you know that's a rare occurrence.  Even Birchbox can't be spectacular all the time. Regardless, I still love them and hope my next box will get things back on track!
