Greek Pack, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a monthly food subscription service. For $19.99 per month, subscribers will receive a curated selection of the best snacks and treats that Geece has to offer!
Enclosed was a detailed information sheet about each product. This is especially helpful since my Knowledge of the Greek language is non-existent.
Tsakiris Chips --- so delicious! Seasoned with high quality sea salt from the island of Mytilene.
Pasteli Bars --- A sweet sesame seed candy made with honey. They have a really high nutritional value as well.
Chalvadopita --- This seriously looks weird but it tastes delicious! It's two very thin wafers with a nougat and baked Greek almond mixture sandwiched between them.
Greek Honey --- give me honey and I'm a very happy girl. Greek honey is said to be some of the worlds finest and this is certainly very yummy!
Mikio --- a Cretan snack prepared without preservatives from pure, fresh, wholesome ingredients. A super crunchy treat!
Chalvas --- a very crumbly sweet. It was certainly different than anything else I've tasted. Honestly a bit hard to describe it!
Mastiha --- This is the only thing I just flat out didn't like. Made with a resin from the mastic tree, it gets softer as you chew but has a distinct bitter flavor I just really dislike.
My taste of Greece was certainly interesting. There were some really yummy new favorites and some that I just didn't love, but overall I think Greek Pack curated a great box and I'm excited to see what next month will bring!
