You know what I'm ready for? Football. Southerners take sports very seriously. It's like a religion here. Even if you don't really love the game, you love the atmosphere it creates. Tailgating, cheering for your team, it creates this crazy feeling of excitement and solidarity. And I'll be right in it this weekend cheering on the Hogs (that's the Arkansas Razorbacks in case you didn't know). But before I head off to call the Hogs, it's time to get excited about what's inside the September My Texas Market box!
My Texas Market, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a brand new artisan subscription service. The cost is $35 per month (save 10% off your first box with coupon code 10FIRST) and includes an array of products from vendors and small businesses throughout Texas. It's like the best of a southern farmers market carefully tucked into a box!
The included card gives you all the details on the items, brands, and prices of the items you have received in your box
The theme for this month is 'Backyard Brunch' and I am crazy excited about it. The weight of this box coupled with the packaging and theme make me think there are some nice treats of the edible variety inside!
PS Paper Shoppe Market List Notepad - $8.00 --- I adore handmade paper products like this. i love the design and heavy stock of paper they used. Plus it's got a magnet on the back so it's truly perfect to keep on the refrigerator when I need to write down something I'm out of.
District Roasters 'Righteous Blend' Coffee - $8.00 --- This smelled amazing even through the box! I'm a coffee junkie. Seriously, I am not a pretty person without the Java! This coffee is freshly hand-roasted, organic and fair trade certified and completely delicious. Not only that, District Roasters reinvests their profits back into those areas to help fight poverty and create self-sustaining communities around the world.
Just Pure Flavors 'Bacon Jalapeno' Jam - $6.00 --- I had serious reservations about this but it's actually really really good! The jam only has three ingredients: bacon, JalapeƱos and cane sugar. These James are made fresh and have no artificial flavors or sweeteners. It's fabulous!
Liber & Co. Classic Gum Syrup - $7.00 --- This is a new one for me. I have honestly never used it before. It's a simple syrup mixed with gum arabic, a natural sweetener. It's a very versatile product that can be used in everything from cocktails to coffee.
Earth Meets Water 'Leaves of Life' Candle - $10.00 --- Yay! Candles!! It's a very clean, fresh scent made with eucalyptus, sage and aloe. It burns really clean and the scent is light and subtle. I love it! And a portion of Earth Meets Water's sales go to Turtle Island Restoration.
Gretchen Bee Ranch Raw Honey - $4.00 --- there is absolutely nothing better than raw honey. I could eat it straight from the jar all day. This honey is freshly harvested from Gretchen Bee Ranch in Guadalupe County, Texas. It's some of the best honey I've ever tasted. Absolutely delicious!
It's becoming quite clear to me that My Texas Market can do no wrong. Seriously, this is only their third box and I have loved each and every item in them all. They truly are sitting in my top 5 favorite subscriptions and if you haven't subscribed yet, now is the time to do it!
