January 2016 Birchbox Review

Is everyone having a fabulous 2016 so far? I hope so! For me, last year held slot of challenges but there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel now. This year, I'm going to be more positive about things, and what better way to dive into this new attitude than a 'positive'ly perfect Birchbox!

If you are somehow unfamiliar, Birchbox is a monthly Beauty subscription service. It's one of the original pioneers of the subscription box boom and is the very first box I myself ever received. The cost is $10 per month and includes 4-5 deluxe beauty samples (and occasionally a full sized one too!).

I decided not to get the guest curator box this month and left my box to chance. Judging by this first glimpse, I'm very happy with that decision!!

As always, you'll find a lovely information card in your box that gives you all the details on the products you have received this month.

Parlor Detangling Leave In Conditioner --- This is always a tricky product for me because of how fine my hair is. Most of them weigh me down and leave me with dirty looking locks, but this one was actually fairly decent. It's made with sweet almond extract to deliver softness, sleekness and volume without the extra weight.

TonyMoly Delight Tony Tint --- This was my sample choice for January. It's a lightweight, heavily pigmented lip stain that dries to a gorgeous sheer, matte finish that lasts all day.

R+Co. Death Valley Dry Shampoo --- Generally, I find dry shampoo to be about the same, no matter the brand. This one is different though. This one I absolutely love. It smells amazing and sucks up the excess oils to give your hair volume, body and texture. No powdery residue or awful lingering perfume scents with this one.

Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner --- I do so love a good eyeliner. If I could only carry one makeup item to a desert island, it would be that! I love the thicker applicator on this one. Great for a smudgeproof, bigger and bolder look I go for on a night out!

Foreo Day Cleanser --- I've had a sudden onset of skin issues lately so I've been wary about what I put on my face. This one is (thankfully) very mild on my skin. Doesn't irritate but still manages to get deep into the pores to lift away dirt, impurities and other pollutants that cause aging.

This is the first time in months that I haven't chosen the guest editor box and I'm really happy I decided to forgo it this time around. I love the mix of beauty products and the sizes were especially wonderful. For me, Birchbox never disappoints!
