You know what I'm just loathing right now? Being sick. My house seems to just Want to be a sick house these past few weeks. And why does every single one of us have to be sick at the same time? Colds, ear aches, stomach bugs.... When will the insanity end?! At least I have my subscriptions to brighten the day a tad And My Texas Market always puts me in a better mood!
My Texas Market, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a brand new artisan subscription service. The cost is $35 per month (save 25% off your first box with coupon code MAIL25) and includes an array of products from vendors and small businesses throughout Texas. It's like the best of a southern farmers market carefully tucked into a box!
February's theme is Tex-Italiano. The wine and olive industry is beginning to really boom in the Lone Star state so what better way to show that off than an Italian inspired (but made in Texas) batch of products?!
As always, there is an information card included that tells you all about the products featured in this months box.
I always expect a perfect first look when I open a My Texas Market box and this one is no exception. The Italian in me is already giddy and ready to get into the kitchen!
Texas Hill Country Olive Co. Sola Stella Olive Oil --- Olive oil is something I can always use! This particular olive oil won Gold in the Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition (I didn't even know that was a thing. Ha!). Made from olives grown on thyme only certified organic orchard in the state of Texas too!
Whole Note Food Company Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix --- While I love me some pizza, I have never even attempted to make one myself (probably a good thing!). The mix contains seven whole grains and it's Gluten Free!
Old Factory Soap Co. Chef's Soap --- I'm not a giant fan of the smell of this soap BUT it works amazingly well and it's very multipurpose! It's a plant based and organic soap made with high quality oils and and locally sourced ingredients like olive oil, lemongrass, and coffee grounds.
Della Casa Pasta Tricolor Campanella Pasta --- I'm part Italian so give me pasta and I'm super happy! This pasta is not only pretty, it's also organic and freshly made from semolina that is allowed to slow dry in the traditional way with no preservatives or artificial ingredients. Yummy!
McClure's Family Farm Garlic Sea Salt --- oh yeah! I use garlic a ton so I'm thrilled with this, These sea salts are made from locally sourced and farm grown herbs and spices with no chemicals or artificial flavors. All that you'll find on this ingredient list is garlic and sea salt! I used it on roasted chicken the other day and it was perfect!
Tailor Made Treats Artisan Chocolate, Coffee and Hazelnut --- This look beautiful and delicious. Made by hand in small batches, these dark chocolate treats are organic, fair trade, dairy free and gluten free.
I'm fairly certain that, at this point, it is impossible to not love a My Texas Market box. This was a gorgeous, flavor-filled box with some fantastic products that are perfectly chosen to fit the theme. It's one of my favorite boxes ever from My Texas Market!
