March 2016 Hole In The Wall Box Review

You know my absolute favorite thing about visiting new places? Finding hidden treasures in local shops! It's a trait I inherited from my mother. Whether it be an antique shop/flea market or a mom and pop bakery, I love to discover things I might not find anywhere else. So when I heard about Hole In The Wall Box, I just had to see what it held!

Hole In The Wall Box, who very kindly sent me this box for review, is a bi-monthly travel subscription service. The cost is $35 every other month. What's inside, you ask? "Each bi-monthly box, we carefully curate only the best items a city has to offer. These items are only known only to the locals foodies and the most well-traveled adventurists. Depending on the city, we will ship gourmet treats such as homemade snacks, chocolates, candies, almonds and nuts, etc. We will also include the most awe-inspiring spices, condiments, and sauces for your pallet from time to time. And no visit to a city will be complete without some handmade soaps, candles, lotions, or lip balms as well." Sounds great, huh?

February/March's destination is Seattle, Washington and my first glance looks awfully delicious!

The included information card gives you all the details on the items featured in your box.

Dried Bosc Pears --- I will admit, I thought this was beef jerky at first glance. It's actually slow-dried Organic Bosc Pears. They taste much than they look and they are a great healthy snack alternative!

Whiskey-Smoked Salt Caramels ---Ohhh... So good! I'm a caramel lover and these are super super nice. They are hand crafted with local ingredients like Samish Bay Whiskey and Skagit Valley cream.

Pinot Noir Cherries --- I generally don't eat chocolate covered cherries but holy crap are these good! They are made with dried Bing cherries smothered in dark chocolate and essence of Pinot Noir Wine. They are completely delicious!

Vanilla Lemon Lip Balm & Healing Hemp Lotion --- I've tried this lip balm from Moon Valley Organics before and loved it so I'm happy to have more. It's made with natural vanilla and lemon essential oils so it's lip smacking yummy!

I can seriously never have to much lotion, especially when it's a great one like this. Made with nourishing oils, herbs and essential oils found in Hemp.

Orange Honey Hazelnuts --- Hazelnuts are delicious all on their own and now these have made them even tastier! A super crunchy snack that has a perfect level of sweetness from Orange and golden honey.

Seattle Salt --- This is actually becoming my favorite seasoning salt now. It has a touch of Sage and Lavender in the salt for a really unique smell and taste. I'm loving it mixed with scrambled eggs in the morning.

Boehm's Chocolate Bar --- Chocolate is always a good thing! This is some melt in your mouth deliciousness, right here. milk Chocolate finely molded and wrapped by hand for the perfect sized candy bar.

I do so enjoy when a box lives up to my expectations. Hole in the wall box has most certainly done that! The quality of each item is spectacular as are the sizes. They did an amazing job of finding products that give you a tiny taste of Seattle. I need to plan a trip there now!
