I'm on the prowl. For what, you ask? For a spot in my house to add some new bookshelves. I adore my house, but it has an unusual layout. I have this compulsive need to see my books. They are a thing of beauty to me and I like to gaze upon them lovingly. Sadly, I can't figure out where to put any new shelves... Not that it will stop me from buying new books, of course. And today I have acquired some new additions thanks to myBOOKbag.

I'm really digging the tote my books arrived in! Tote bags are something I don't think I can ever have to many of and I love the d sign and quote on it!
Wrapped inside the tote is the main event... The books! Yay! There's something else about this subscrption that goes beyond just books though! myBOOKbag "offers subscribers a personal connection to the authors selected each month. Each subscriber will have the ability to interact with the selected authors during monthly chat sessions. This will give the subscribers the ability to give direct feedback to the author. In turn Authors are given the opportunity to reach, listen, and communicate directly with their audience. myBOOKbag is expanding beyond your literary dreams." I love this perk!!
I Don't Want To Be Your Bridesmaid by Adina Ferguson --- I love this little book! Here is the official description from Amazon:
"I Don't Want To Be Your Bridesmaid is the debut memoir collection by Adina Ferguson. Ferguson's honest, witty and rhythmic style defines the voice of a 20-something introvert who's single, shy and so over being a bridesmaid. This humorous memoir collection stumbles over everything from femininity, race, daddy issues, relationship woes, family misfortune and much more. I Don't Want To Be Your Bridesmaid is packed with stories that will make every woman laugh, cry and declare she's better than what the world wants her to be."
Sounds like something every single one of us can relate to, huh? Aaaannnnddd.....
It's signed! Ya'll know how much I love a signed first edition printing! I know I'll breeze through this one and absolutely love it when I'm done!
The Reluctant Sacrifice by Kerr-Ann Dempster --- The cover of this book immediately sucks me in. Everybody always says not to judge a book by its cover, but I don't necessarily believe that's true. Just look how gorgeous it is! You know that makes you want to read it too! Here's the Amazon synopsis:
"Centuries ago, sibling rivalry tore Aramith apart. As punishment, the losers were stripped of their immortal birthright and banished to Earth. There, they wasted away from old age and diseases. However, there is hope…
If a Shaw child, born on the 12th day of the 12th month offers her soul in a public sacrifice, then the exiles will be forgiven and welcomed home to Aramith.
Aubrey Shaw is that child, but dying for the exiles is not on her to-do list. Using her gift as a Jumper, Aubrey leaps between bodies to escape relentless shape-shifting hunters. Only, shedding her skin is not enough. Not when Joshua, her best-friend-turned-hunter, is hell-bent on dragging her to the altar.
Will Aubrey’s love for Joshua change his mind?
Or, will she have to trust the scarred stranger who shows up out of the blue cloaked in lies and secrets? Doing so means giving up on Joshua. But betting on Joshua's love could do more than break her heart.
It could kill her."
I'm a massive fan of the paranormal romance genre so I'm over the moon about this book. It sounds like the beginning of a very addictive series!
Can I just reiterate how much I freaking LOVED this myBOOKbag It was seriously squeal worthy. Both books are really nice and fit into categories that I always enjoy diving into. I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what else myBOOKbag has in store!
