March 2016 Novel Tea Club Review

Much to my husbands dismay, I have been on an epic reading binge lately. And what has caused this massive spike in book buying, you ask? Subscription boxes of course. There has been a vast multitude of book based subscriptions popping up lately and I am bound and determined to expande my horizons with every single one I can get my hands on. Today, that is Novel Tea Club!

Novel Tea Clubwho very kindly sent me this box for review, is a monthly book and tea based subscription service. For $24.95 per month, you'll receive "a novel (usually paperback); a few packets of a beverage; and a little something else. That something else might be a  candle, or a  bath bomb, or reading-friendly snacks. All of the items that come in the box are handmade, artisan products that are sourced from local or small business across North America. Each month will be different and exciting!" There are 3 subscription variations to choose from: YA, Romance, and Scifi/Fantasy. This review is for the YA box.

Ok, I'm getting all sorts of excited sitting here looking at all these goodies!

The included information sheet gives you a full rundown on the products featured in your box.

Apple Cider Drink Mix & Brookside Chocolates --- Oh how I love Apple cider! I don't get it very often but when I do, I throughly enjoy it. One sip and I am reminded of holidays years ago when my mom would make it for me.. Good times...

And seriously, who doesn't like chocolate? Especially when it has a touch of Pomegranate flavor thrown in there. A perfect snack!

Hand Decorated Tea Light Candles --- These are just to pretty to burn. They are gorgeous beyond belief and each one is hand decorated (therefore super unique) at a small family business in Lower Mainland, British Columbia.

Natural Soul Skincare Bath Fizzy --- Oh how I love bath products. These fizzies are handmade in Honeymoon Bay, BC. They are made with no added fragrance or dye, so the amazing aroma is entirely from the local, organic herbs used to make them. I especially love the clean lemongrass scent!

Cottage Botanical Farm Lady Strathcona Tea --- If your one of those people who dislike tea, you are seriously missing out on some deliciousness here! This tea is a rich Earl Grey blended with briar roses, blue cornflowers, and scotch heather. It is ridiculously good!

The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart --- Not my typical read (I'm normally a high fantasy kind of girl), but it sounds interesting! Here's the synopsis from Amazon:

"Ruby Oliver is 15 and has a shrink. She knows it's unusual, but give her a break--she's had a rough 10 days. In the past 10 days she: "
lost her boyfriend (#13 on the list),
lost her best friend (Kim),
lost all her other friends (Nora, Cricket),
did something suspicious with a boy (#10),
did something advanced with a boy (#15),
had an argument with a boy (#14),
drank her first beer (someone handed it to her),
got caught by her mom (ag!),
had a panic attack (scary),
lost a lacrosse game (she's the goalie),
failed a math test (she'll make it up),
hurt Meghan's feelings (even though they aren't really friends),
became a social outcast (no one to sit with at lunch)
and had graffiti written about her in the girls' bathroom (who knows what was in the boys'!?!).
But don't worry--Ruby lives to tell the tale. And make more lists."

It's the first book in a series and has a decent rating on Goodreads so I'm pumped to sit down and read it!

I really really liked this box! It's two of my favorite things in one fantastic package. Books and Tea just go so well together and I'm looking forward to seeing what new and fabulous goodies Novel Tea Club will feature in the future!
