I was meandering through the beauty aisles of my local Walmart a few days ago and it struck me how far mass market cosmetics have come In the last few years. While there are quite s few lines I loved as a teenager that have now folded, most are still thriving and have upped the quality of their products to rival many of the high-end lines I once lusted after. It's a fabulous thing to have quality and affordable products so readily available and the Walmart Beauty Box is a testament to that.
If you aren't familiar, Walmart Beauty is a quarterly subscription service that delivers sample and occasionally full sized beauty products to your door. It's extremely affordable at only $5 per quarter (the box itself is advertised as free do the cost is just for shipping really) and it's a great way to discover new, mass market products.
I'm always very pleasantly surprised by not only the amount of products in the box, but how large the samples are. I often see full size items too (like this one has) and that makes me even happier.
Cetaphil Cleansing Cloths --- Cleansing wipes like these really are the number one staple we all (well, most of us) own. They are just so quick and convenient! These are really moist too, because nothing ticks me off like opening a pack of cleansing cloths and finding them nearly dry... Seriously, that defeats the purpose of a 'moist' wipe...
CeraVe Healing Ointment --- This is really great for soothing and protecting dry, chapped, or cracked skin. Best of all, it's a formula that isn't a crazy greasy mess like so many other similar products on the market.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo --- John Frieda was one of the first drugstore Haircare lines I ever loved. And thankfully, I recently went back to brunette so I can actually use this. It deposits a very subtle amount of color to lighten and brighten. It really keeps your color (natural and artificial) looking vibrant and rich. And it smells absolutely phenomenal!
Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash --- Aveeno, one of the best skincare lines when you have sensitive skin! I've used it on myself and my son for years because of how gentle it is. It's really soothing on dry skin and I love that it's fragrence free.
Colgate Optic White Toothpaste --- Yay for full size! A great whitening toothpaste is such a necessity when you drink as much coffee and soda as I do. Those stains take a toll over the years!
St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub --- Now this, I looooove! St. Ives has been around for years and I often forget about them despite how fabulous their skincare products are. This scrub is perfect and the apricot scent is wonderful.
Burt's Bees BB Cream --- Burts Bees is one of my all time favorite drugstore brands. I love pretty much every product they make. I've never tried the BB cream before so I'm happy to test it out, even if it is a tiny packet!
Like I said before, I'm constantly surprised by how great these Walmart boxes are. The sizes in the Spring box are really impressive and I love that I can find a new favorite product that I can actually afford to by a full size version of. And seriously, you can't beat the $5 price tag on this box! It's spectacular!
