You know what I love about taking my husband shopping with me? His uncanny ability to negotiate huge discounts. He's just one of those people that can charm a salesman without even trying. We went to get a new dishwasher this weekend and thanks to a mess up on the pricing and his bargaining prowess, I got a $1300 dishwasher for under $400. It was truly an awesome moment. I myself don't have the ability to do that so he comes in quite handy! Speaking of bargains, lets dive into a super affordable and classic subscription box we all know and love - the May 2016 Birchbox!
If you are somehow unfamiliar, Birchbox is a monthly Beauty subscription service. It's one of the original pioneers of the subscription box boom and is the very first box I myself ever received. The cost is $10 per month and includes 4-5 deluxe beauty samples (and occasionally a full sized one too!).
I went with the curated box selection for May. There were too many products included in it that I just really wanted to get my hands on and try out!
Included is a very detailed information card with all the details about the months theme and the products featured in your box.
CLEAN Blossom Eau de Perfum --- I've mentioned before that I'm not a huge fan of perfume samples in my box but this one is fairly decent. It has lovely notes of Tunisian neroli, orange blossom and sandalwood.
ModelCo. Lip Lacquer in Creme Brûlée --- I like the ModelCo brand well enough and the color isn't to bad either. It's a long-lasting gloss that delivers rich, full-pigment color with a brilliant moisture and shine.
Davines LOVE Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner --- These are repeat products for me but I love love love them so I don't mind! They smell glorious! The shampoo is enriched with olive extract and rice protein and works to smooth frizzy, Tangle-prone hair. The conditioner calms frizz with Minuta Olive - which is rich in fatty acids to provide moisture and shine.
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer --- Benefit is one of my favorite cosmetic brands! This bronzer is great for all over use for a natural looking tan or as a great contrasting powder to sculpt and divine.
COOLA SPF 39 Organic Setting Spray --- So glad this has an SPF! I'm ghostly pale so that's an important factor for me. This weightless, matte-finish mist sets your makeup and hydrates skin.
Sometimes, I get rather disappointed with my Birchbox but that stopped when they started offering these curated boxes. Whoever thought of that is a freaking genius and I love them for it! This was another fantastic month, in my opinion.
