July 2016 Birchbox Review

So this morning, my son realized that there's only about a month left of summer break. Yeah.... That went over soooo well. While a tiny part of me is ready for him to start back, the bigger part is wondering how the crap my kid is already in 4th grade. Seriously people, where has time gone? It moves to fast sometimes! Speaking of time flying, a new month of Birchbox has arrived and I'm ready to open up this bad boy!

If you are somehow unfamiliar, Birchbox is a monthly Beauty subscription service. It's one of the original pioneers of the subscription box boom and is the very first box I myself ever received. The cost is $10 per month and includes 4-5 deluxe beauty samples (and occasionally a full sized one too!).

Included is a detailed information card that lets you know a bit about each product you received in your box.

Oh! I see one thing I'm really really excited to try!

Supergoop Anti-Aging City Sunscreen Serum --- Starting with my least favorite. This is a lightweight, noncomedogenic serum that fights the signs of aging by hydrating and protecting your skin. Nothing against the Supergoop brand but I have so many of their products, I'm on overload.

Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris --- don't mind the occasional perfume sample but I've been getting them every single month lately. Perhaps it's time to change my settings... Anywho, this is described as a dreamy, ultra wearable and elegant scent with notes of summery fruits and florals. Not terrible, but not my favorite either.

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara --- Now we're getting to the good stuff! Theirs formula is pretty long lasting and it gives a nice boost to the thickness and length of my lashes. I've got quite a few tubes of this already but I'm a mascara freak so I don't mind more!

Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Soothing Moisturising Cream --- So, this sounds amazing! This baby is packed with an organic blend of skin soothers that effectively calms redness while providing all day hydration.

Davines This Is A Sea Salt Spray --- And here's my favorite item this month! I really love this brand and the sample size is fabulous. It's a moisturizing styling spray that gives you textured, beachy waves without stickiness. I loooove it!

Overall, this was a pretty good box. It wasn't my favorite box ever but I did like most of the products I received so I call that a win.
