Why do I like looking at books so much? I'm seriously OCD when it comes to my bookshelves. I'm constantly rearranging them until they are just completely and perfectly aligned to suit me. It annoys the crap out of my husband and son because each time I get a new book, the organization starts all over again. That time has come again now thanks to the June OwlCrate!
OwlCrate, if you don't already know, is a YA book lovers heaven. The cost is $29.99 (plus $6.99 s&h) per month and each box will feature a newly released YA novel and bookish goodies. Need a bit of extra incentive to subscribe? Use coupon code NEWMEMBER at signup for 10% off your first box!
First looks are never disappointing when it comes to OwlCrate.
Every month, OwlCrate curates their boxes around a particular theme. The June theme is 'Royalty' and the enclosed card gives you all the details on the items you'll find in your box.
Funko Disney Mystery Mini --- love the Funko vinyl figures and I really love that this little mini was a mystery! I hoped for one of the princesses but this little bear from Brave is adorable. Since it isn't a super girly one, my son claimed it to add to his collection!
Crafted Van Magnetic Bookmarks --- I love this kind of bookmark. They stay put on the page and don't leave any indentations. Plus the design is to freakin cute!
Evie Bookish Art Print --- This print is gorgeous, isn't it? It's a wonderful piece of art to add to my bookshelf and includes a quote from one of my favorite books, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
Rich Love Shoppe Bracelet --- This may be one of my favorite bookish items ever from OwlCrate! It's the perfect size for my wrist and the design is phenomenal.
A better look at the center. It's so so pretty and I love that the quote is inspired by Cinder, book 1 in the Lunar Chronicals.
My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, & Jodi Meadows --- I've heard really great things about this book and how funny it is. Here's the summary from Amazon:
"The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.
At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.
Like that could go wrong."
As usual, there is a nice note from the authors to OwlCrate subscribers. Also included was this fun little crown to fit with the Royalty theme.
It is physically impossible for me to dislike anything about an OwlCrate box. They put together such an amazing mix of items and it overjoyed me each and every month. Just superb!
