October 2016 Degustabox Review & Coupon

      B

So the fact that each time I walk into a store and am already being bombarded by Christmas decorations really annoys me. Actually, I've been seeing them since late July. Why?! I mean, I love the holidays as much as the next person and I love seasonal decor but can we at least wait till November?! I don't need a reminder of how fast the year has gone by each and every time I go shopping. Ok, venting over. Let's talk about the October Degustabox!

Degustabox, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a culinary subscription service. The cost is $19.95 per month (which is awesome) and each box will include a mix of 10-15 surprise goodies. They are based out of Barcelona but have recently launched their box in the USA and I'm so happy they did. Want to try them for yourself? Use coupon code DEGUSTA10T at checkout for $10 off your first box!

I mean, seriously people, how crazy is it that you get this amount of food! It's my favorite food box at the moment, that's for sure!

They always include a really nicely laid out information sheet that lists all the products featured in this month's box.

They also give you recipes on the back of the info sheet that incorporate some items you'll find in your box.

La Tortilla Factory Tortillas --- So, i have to say, I'm picky about tortillas. My mother-in-law makes some seriously amazing flour tortillas and nothing can ever top those. Like, ever. These are a healthier alternative though as they are non-GMO, low carb and each one is only 45 calories!

Barilla ProteinPlus Penne & Marinara Sauce --- Another item I'm picky about. My mom is Italian and makes the best sauce in the world so the mass produced sauces just can't compete. The dry pasta itself if high in protein and the sauce is basic but it makes a great base to build your own sauces around.

Lovely Candy Fruit Chews --- These are yummy! These fruit chews are all natural, gluten free, non-GMO, and kosher. They get there flavor from bits of actual fruit mixed into each one. Flavors included are cranberry, Rasberry, and blueberry.

Numi Organic Tea Mini Sampler --- I love tea (as does my child) so I'm excited about trying these. Featured teas are Aged Earl Grey, Rooibos Chai, Breakfast Blend, Gunpowder Green, Jasmine Green, Orange Spice, Moroccan Mint and Chamomile Lemon.

Palo Popcorn --- Palo makes its popcorn with high quality ingredients like pure coconut oil and free from trans fat, preservatives and gluten. I loved the white cheddar popcorn but the bacon cheddar wasn't for me.

Jones Soda --- Pumpkin Pie flavored? Yes please! The flavor combinations in this are really lovely with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a creamy buttery crust. Yum!

Energems Energy Suppliment --- Normally these 'chocolate' energy supplements taste terrible but these are actually made with dark chocolate! They taste like normal candy but give you just the right boost of caffeine plus vitimans B & D.

Wasa Thins --- These are really yummy and paired beautifully with some bruschetta. They are light and crunchy oven baked flatbread crackers spirinkeled  with sesame seeds and a pinch of sea salt.

Crown Nut Sriracha Almonds --- Can't say that I really enjoyed these. They are very flavorful almonds but this flavor just is not for me at all.

Hometown Bagel Bagel Chips --- Another one that paired well with bruschetta! These delicious bagel chips (made from actual bagels) are made with the best non-GMO ingredients and just taste fabulous.

Another box filled with wonderful and delicious items to stock up my pantry! I get so excited for this box each month and it's really just an incredible value. As always, I'm eager to see what new flavorful goodies will arrive in next month's box!
