Last night, I was watching a few sitcom reruns from the 70's and 80's and i couldn't stop laughing. Oddly enough, when I watch 95% of the sitcoms on right now, I don't laugh at all. There's not an art to it anymore, ya know? It's all about pushing boundaries and being blatantly filthy. I miss when comedy was full of innuendo and it had the same impact without ever actually saying or doing anything. Sadly, I think those days are long gone so I find entertainment in other things, things that are always amazing and never disappoint. Things like the September My Texas Market box!
My Texas Market, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a Texas based artisan subscription service. The cost is $35 per month (save 25% off your first box with coupon code MAIL25) and includes an array of products from vendors and small businesses throughout Texas. It's like the best of a southern farmers market carefully tucked into a box!
This month's theme is Back To School and it includes "a fun mix of local goodies for studying and snack time, for fueling busy mornings and de-stressing from long days".
The included card gives you all the information and details on each item featured in this month's box.
Sasha's Waterless Hand Sanatizer --- a perfect fit for this month's theme considering how many germs are found in schools. Made in Dallas in small batches with essential oils using ethically sourced, natural and organic ingredients. And it smells a billion times better than the usual overwhelming alcohol smell you typically associate with hand sanitizer.
Whole Note Create-A-Muffin Mix --- I think muffins are one of my favorite things in the world. This easy, gluten free mix is perfect by itself or mixed with whatever you feel like adding (blueberry or chocolate chips are my personal preferences!). They also have 14 grams of whole grain in every muffin so you don't feel guilty eating them!
Sam Wish Goddess of the Sea Bath Soak --- Some of the best packaging ever! So pretty! I love a nice, soothing bath and enjoyed this immensely. Made with Epson salts and organic essential oils, it also contains spirulina that gives the water a lovely Aqua color and yellow calendula flowers that float on the top. The perfect way to unwind!
Kitchun Apple Chai Granola and Coco Granola --- These are nearly gone already. They are wonderful! Each of these mixtures is a great alternative after-school snack made with good for you ingredients. It's grain-free, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, non-GMO and paleo certified. I particularly enjoyed the Holy Coco-Cacao mix!
Sweet Thyme Design Inspired Bookmark --- it... It's so.... It's my new favorite thing!! No, you are not imagining things, I am genuinely this excited about a bookmark! Made by owner, Chelsea Bumgarner, each bookmark is made from vintage flatware and then each letter is stamped by hand!
A closer look at the detail. It's such a unique, fabulous bookmark and I am completely in love with it! It's a real treasure for me!
This is one of my favorite boxes of the year! I genuinely loved everything but the bath soak and bookmark were the real standout items for me. My Texas Market curates some of the most well rounded boxes out there and they never disappoint me!
