Happy New Year, my darlings! I hope you all rang in the beginning of 2017 safely and in style. Who made a resolution? I'll be honest in saying I didn't put that pressure on myself this year. This year I've decided to just let life take me wherever it leads because I know that no matter what the future brings, I can weather anything if I'm surrounded by my family. I consider myself a very blessed person to have the unwavering love and support they give me and I hope those of you who don't have that in their life find it soon! Now let's kick off this new year with a new review for a box I've been lusting after for months - Cozy Reader Club!
Cozy Reader Club, who very kindly sent this box for review, is a monthly book based subscription service. The cost is $64.95 per month and each box is truly a 'me-time' experience. Each month you'll receive 4-6 full size items including a women's fiction novel and handmade items, coffee, tea or hot chocolate and gourmet treats, all from local artisans throughout the USA. Want $5 off your first box? Use coupon code COZYTIME at checkout!
Love it already! That beautiful green plaid is calling my name. Also, I had really hoped I would have this review up before today but the holiday mail service has been awful this year. Seriously, this box sat in a sorting facility 30 miles away from me for over a week. I literally just got this box in 2 days ago. An overwhelmed Post Office equals an equally overwhelmed me.
You'll find a fabulous, detailed information card in your box that tells you everything you need to know about the months featured products.
Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate Peppermint Drinking Chocolate - $19.00 --- There are no words to accurately describe how much love I have for a good cup of hot chocolate. This rich drinking chocolate is mixed with crushed up pieces of organic natural peppermint candy. It smells amazing and it tastes even better!
Jacki Bean Blanket Scarf - $28.00 --- So very much my style! This flannel scarf is not only pretty to look at, it feels super soft and comfortable too. It is a wonderful size than can be used as a lightweight blanket as well. I love the color and the style. It's just perfect!
The Good Batch Ginger Molasses Cookies - $4.00 --- This is my first experience with this brand and after just one bite, I was hooked! These cookies are big, soft and chewy and have a nice subtle bit of spice from the ginger and balances really well with the sweet taste of the molasses.
The Tiny Collection Oatmeal Cookie Candle - $6.00 --- I've had several candles from this brand before and I've loved every one of them. It's a handmade Soy Candle that fills up a room with the sweet and buttery scent of freshly baked oatmeal cookies. Yum!
Moonglow by Michael Chabon - $28.99 --- I haven't heard of this book before so that's always exciting! Here's the synopsis from the back cover:
"In 1989, fresh from the publication of his first novel, , Michael Chabon traveled to his mother’s home in Oakland, California, to visit his terminally ill grandfather. Tongue loosened by powerful painkillers, memory stirred by the imminence of death, Chabon’s grandfather shared recollections and told stories the younger man had never before heard, uncovering bits and pieces of a history long buried and forgotten.
I definitely kicked off the New Year with a perfect box to Review! The items are such a wonderful quality and they all work well to create the perfect cozy reading experience. All that's left to do now is sit back, get comfy in my reading chair, and dive headfirst into my new book!
