December 2016 Hive Box Review

There are so many little things that just take me back to my childhood.  One such thing is wonderful, glorious honey. My dad used to rent land to a beekeeper and he would always give us loads of raw honey packaged up in the large mason jars. I was always so excited when we got those. I may hate getting stung by bees (though here in my area of the south, the bigger sting issue is wasps) but boy do they give us some awesome things. Obviously, when I came across a subscription box that catered to bee related goodies, I had to snag one. This, my Dolls, is Hive Box!

Hive Box, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a monthly subscription for the bee enthusiast. There are two monthly plans available: Hive Box Mini is $15.95 (plus s&h) per month and features three items: raw honey, a beeswax candle, and an extra bee-friendly goodie. The Original Hive Box is $24.95 (plus s+h) and contains a selection of bee-based items ranging from raw honey, beeswax candles, handmade soap and beauty products, artisan candy and bee-themed paper or decor. This review is for the full Hive Box.

I done. This box is awesome. I see a telltale jar and there is nothing more I need in life at this particular moment.

Included is a detailed information card listing each item inside your December box.

Techaus Lavender Milk & Honey Soap --- made exclusively for Hive Box,these soaps are cold processed and made by hand in small batches then cured for an entire month.  They make them using raw honey, essential oils and natural clays and are safe for sensitive skin.

Crafted Small Batch Raw Honey --- Oh my god, Yeeeess! Honestly, I could just take to this with a spoon and eat it all straight from the jar. This is a treatment-free North Carolina Wildflower raw honey. The bees use many of the seasonal blossoms like clover, canola, tulip poplar, honeysuckle, cotton and goldenrod.  It's just gorgeous!

Caven Creations Hey Honey! Chocolate Bar --- Made with raw and organic cacao and cacao butter, raw honey, Tahitian vanilla and sea salt. It's handcrafted in small batches and has a bit of a bitter bite to it but it's still delicious!

Bluecorn Naturals Pure Beeswax Candle --- You forget how great Beeswax candles really are. I love how these burn and it lasts for about 25 hours, it also has that light honey scent that I just can't resist!

One Fork Farm Wildflower Honey Caramels --- The aren't actually listed on my info card but I can tell you right now that this is the most delicious caramel I have ever had. I am not exaggerating in the slightest. They are so soft and chewy and the are so rich with honey flavor, you can't eat it all at once. My taste buds are in love.

I freaking love this box so much!  You tend to forget how many wonderful uses honey and Beeswax have and this subscription really highlights those. There is such a great variety of items and the quality is truly fantastic. It's a box any honey lover will be thrilled with!
