I honestly never thought, in my self centered teens, that I would ever be a mom. It's easy in those years to think that way. I had nieces and a nephew so I figured that was as close to kids as I would ever get. Life changes though. I got pregnant at 18 and from the moment I found out, I wanted nothing more than to be a mom. Funny how fast things change, huh? 11 years later and I still feel like it's the best thing I've done with my life and I wouldn't trade a moment of it for anything. And since Mothers Day is swiftly approaching, I can find no better box to share with my fellow Mommas than the May Mommy Mailbox!
Mommy Mailbox, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a monthly lifestyle subscription service. While this box is geared towards moms, it's actually a great box for anyone looking to indulge themselves or someone special. The cost is $33.95 per month you'll receive a carefully curated selection of uplifting and inspiring items. Expect a mix of fashion, gourmet food, fitness, art, home décor and beauty.
This month's box was quite heavy and I am super excited by my first glimpse.
This month's theme is Honor and the featured blogger is Las Vegas based mommy blogger, Lizzie Haro.
As always, you'll find a very nicely laid out information card detailing each item you've received in this month's box.
Kendra Phillip Ring --- I absolutely love this ring. I'm actually wearing it while I type out this review!
This is the Chloe ring and it may be simple But it sure is pretty on my finger! And I love that it's adjustable so it actually fits my tiny fingers.
Lake Champlain Chocolates --- I only wish I had more of these! These fresh, all natural chocolate bites are made in Vermont and the two flavors included are Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Praline.
Manna Kadar Flutter Mascara --- My Dolls, meet my new favorite mascara! I love Manna Kadar products but this is the first time I've tried out their mascara and I'm not disappointed. It gives massive curl in the spots I want it and the formula is amazing. It feels like a fiber mascara but without the dry, flakey effect I generally run into with them. It wears beautifully and if you wet your lashes, it almost peels off the lash so it's clean and easy to remove.
Paper Straws --- So, these are actually pretty handy. Especially considering that some places won't allow you to use plastic straws anymore. Our local Zoo being one of those spots.
The Magic of Motherhood by Ashlee Gadd --- The reason for this box being so heavy! I cannot say enough good things about this book. It was such a nice, heartwarming, funny read. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

This is one of my very favorite Mommy Mailbox's ever. It felt like a wonderful, perfect Mothers Day present to myself. I think the inclusion of the book was especially phenomenal! Another fantastic box, Mommy Mailbox!
