We started back to school this week and I immediately noticed how bad my sons handwriting still is. He definitely gets that from his Dad. I remember being his age and learning cursive and calligraphy (a skill I honestly don't think I've used in the last 15 years.). I've got to start working with him more on his penmanship, and what better way to start than writing out some cards for loved ones courtesy of the August PostBox!
Postmark'd Studio, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a new monthly subscription service specializing in greeting cards. Subscribers will receive a limited-edition delivery of beautiful handcrafted artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe. The cost is $30.95 per month and your PostBox will be filled with four greeting cards, one postcard, postage, and a fun artsy doodad such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack gadget based on a theme.
Don't they bundle everything up so lovely? Maybe it's just me being me, but I love seeing things tied up in twine like this.
The theme for the August box is Farmer's Market and the included information card tells you a bit about each item featured in this month's box.
The A Bushel & A Peck card is from 1canoe2, an illustration and letterpress Studio based in Fulton, MO. Their designs are rooted in life's natural beauty and a pursuit of curiosity.
The I'm All Ears card is from Atlanta, GA based Farmwood Press. Run by a husband and wife duo, their whimsical designs and presses are an extension of them and part of their family.
The You're One In A Melon card is my favorite one this month! It's from Springfield, UT based Alexis Mattox Designs. Another husband and wife duo, one with a creative side and one with a head for business, their work showcases their passion for design, laser cutting, and paper.
The Everyday I'm Brusselin' card (which I adore) is from Long Island based company Meeshmosh. Graphic designer Michelle LaRocca is inspired by random thoughts and everyday thoughts and all her products are assembled by hand with love!
These postcards are very vintage looking and I honestly think I may frame them instead of sending them! They are made by Found Image Press, a San Diego base company that carries over 35,00 images from vintage photographs, postcards and illustrations dating from 1890-1945. The vegetable seed packets shown on these cards are from Card Seed Studio in Ferdonia, NY. Those seed packets were originally printed in the 1920's!
I love these fun little extras! I adore Sunflowers so these will be planted in my yard at some point and the carrot shaped ink pin is just ridiculously cute!
Another thing I really enjoy about this box is the stamps they include that match up with the monthly theme. This month, they sent enough stamps to create mail art with stamp collages!
I think this box is just such a creative and fun thing to receive every month! This month was spectacular! If you're interested in checking PostBox out for yourself, you can use coupon code HOT20SALE and get $20 off a 3-month subscription!
