August 2017 Tea Runners Review

There are lots of activities in this world that I find particularly enjoyable. Singing, writing, interior design projects... but nothing relaxes me quite so much as a good book and a cup of tea. I have the book part covered (I buy waaaay to many of them) but I'm always searching for new and delectable tea blends so when Tea Runners asked me to try out their box, I absolutely had to do it!

Tea Runners, who kindly sent me this box for review purposes, is a loose leaf tea subscription service. The cost is $25 per month and members receive a curated collection of four of the world's best loose leaf teas, along with tasting notes and brewing instructions. Each box contains enough tea for 30-50 cups. And just a side note, this packaging is so pretty!

Included in your box, you'll find an information card with h a note from the Tea Runners creators.

Imperial Green Biluochun --- This is a pure green tea from the Yunnan Province in China. It has a sweet, thick and vibrant flavor with a touch of astringency that balances out the sweetness to give it depth and complexity.

Nirvana --- A blended green tea crafted by American Tea Room in L.A.  This mixture combines sencha style green tea, peony petals, berries and figs. It works beautifully as a hot or cold drink and it's very lightly caffeinated.

Earl Grey Lavender --- A blended black tea from Rishi Tea in Milwaukee. It combines citrusy bergamot, black tea, and organic Lavender. It's a smooth taste and smells fabulous!

Classic Laoshan Black --- This is a pure black tea from the Shandong Province in China. The taste is robust, sweet and thick with a distinct dark chocolate bite.

Each one of the Tea's featured here were absolutely phenomenal. I think my favorite Earl Grey Lavender was definitely my favorite of the four though. This was just a really wonderful box!
